Naked Raku vessel

This piece is a hand thrown form and bisque fired to 1000 degrees C.

A resist slip is then applied to the form.

It is then sprayed with glaze and marks are made through the glaze to the slip below.

It is then Raku fired to 985-1000 degrees C and taken out at top temperature and placed into saw shavings where it is allowed to cool.

Parts of the glaze can be removed whilst still hot to create different carbonation.
